Small Groups

Monday Night Small Groups

Monday Night Small Group:   (3) Small Groups meet every Monday evening at the Church or church members home at approximately 7:00 PM.  The groups are not limited to just church members. They take time to share praises and prayer concerns. They read a chosen book, a chapter each week.  The studies lead to discussions about things that have happened in our lives and how they have handled them. In about 1 ½ to 2 hours, the group closes by holding hands and saying the Lord’s Prayer.  The evening is ended with snacks and fellowship.

Serendipity Small Group

Serendipity Small Group - was formed in l986-87 and was the First Small Group of this nature in our Church. We meet monthly, on the 3rd Thursday, in members’ homes.  Our attendance averages about 20-22.  Currently, we are using as a basis of our study, “At the End of the Day, How Will You Be Remembered?”   ALL ARE WELCOMED

Family Connections

Family – Connections Small Group:  Meets on the second Sunday of every month in the Pastor’s office during Adult Bible Study.  This group was formed to fill a desire to reach out to anyone in the church community desiring a safe environment to talk about various family and relationship issues.  Some of the concentrations of our group discussions in the past have included:  dating; marriage; issues with both young and older children; issues with both aging parents and grandparents; and multi-denominational households.

Junior/Senior High

Junior/Senior High Small Group:  This group is made up of Junior and Senior High youth (grades 7-12).  The leadership of Junior/Senior High Small Group operates with the knowledge that most student participants have at least a little understanding of the Bible and Christ.  Our goal is to expand on that knowledge so that the youth can begin to grow their faith and share their faith with others.  By going on outside trips and missions, the youth meet other youth for Christ and develop lifelong friends.

It is expected that the individual will come to as many youth activities as possible (currently Sunday school and other outside activities as planned) and participate in the activities.  Through this, we hope their faith journey continues to get stronger and stronger.  The Junior/Senior High Small Group is open to anyone in the seventh through twelfth grades who wish to belong to a Christian group of youth committed to serving the Lord the rest of their lives and have fun doing it.
