Women of the Church (WOC):  Women of the Church was organized along with the initial beginning of First Presbyterian Church of Pearland.  At the present time we meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the Seeker’s Room in the Fellowship Hall.  We only meet from September through May.  However, we usually have a luncheon meeting at Hope Village in Sept. and May.  A covered dish luncheon is planned for each Dec. meeting.  We meet to study and discuss materials we choose to increase our knowledge and understanding of the Bible.  We also have delicious refreshments.  In October of each year we sponsor the Heifer Project.  In November we refurbish and make new Chrismons for the Sanctuary Christmas tree.  In December we make a donation to Christian Helping Hands and the Neighborhood Center.  In February we collect supplies for the Battered Women's Shelter.  All women are welcome to attend.
